CIE's New Organisational Structure The CIE General Assembly meeting in Budapest in May this year voted to create a new separate, commercial, taxable entity to be called CIE Scientific Services GmbH (a company with limited liability, owned 100% by the CIE). This will enable the non-profit CIE as we know it to maintain its tax-exempt status, while any income generating activities, like publications and conferences, will fall under the new entity.
