CIE Australia Lighting Research Conference 2024 Tuesday 30th January 2024 Welcome to the website of CIE Australia's 2024 Lighting Research Conference (CALReCo 2024). Researchers and members of the lighting community from Australia and overseas will present a variety of talks on topics relating to the core scientific work of the CIE. We hope to see you at what promises to be a high quality and informative one-day conference. Significant pricing discounts apply to students and members of CIE Australia. Additionally, on the day before the conference we will hold our 2024 CIE Australia AGM and run a Research Students' Workshop, both of which will be held in at the same venue and also be accessible online. More details will follow closer to the event.
Call for Abstracts Abstracts are sought for presentations and workshops in the field of light and lighting with specific emphasis on the following topics:
Abstracts should be no more than 250 words. The conference will consist only of oral presentations of duration 15-20 minutes and workshops of duration 20-30 minutes (times subject to confirmation). There will be no proceedings however an abstract booklet will be provided. The deadline for abstract submission is Friday 3rd November 2023 with acceptance notification by Friday 24th November. Please use the abstract template for oral presentation or workshop when writing the abstract. Abstracts can be submitted by email to calreco@cie.org.au. As there will be no proceedings, it is not critical that the oral presentations contain completed research - they can be used to show work in progress or inform the community of important developments. Workshops can also be used to outline a problem or research gap that needs attention. In addition to presenting research the intention of the conference is to promote discussion and collaboration between different research groups within Australia.
